OKLAHOMA CITY — The Johnnie’s Charcoal Broiler on May was robbed early Tuesday morning, police say.

Employees of the burger joint told police that they were near the kitchen getting ready to open the store when they heard a glass door shatter.

All four employees took off out the east door, according to police reports.

Witnesses say they saw two men wearing all black clothing with black ski masks run through the west door.

Employees pointed out to police that the counter holding a safe underneath had been pulled out from the wall.

Police took fingerprints from the counter top and swabbed the deadbolt latch from the suspects’ exit door; a 9 mm shell was found by the south door.

Police reports say none of the Johnnie’s employees were injured or approached in the robbery.
