Police: Man shot and robbed after picking up hitchhikers

OKLAHOMA CITY – A man is recovering today after an attempted good deed left him with a gunshot wound.

According to police, the man picked up three hitchhikers in the 700 block of N Macarthur Blvd. on Monday just before 11:30 p.m.

The three suspects then robbed the man, stole his vehicle and shot him.

His wounds are not life-threatening, according to police.

Police were able to recover the vehicle later near SW 12th and Meridian Ave. with the help of OnStar.

The three suspects are still on the loose.
