Officials investigating death of inmate at Oklahoma prison

MCALESTER, Okla. – Officials are investigating the death of an inmate at an Oklahoma correctional facility.

Justin England, 26, was found hanging in his cell at a McAlester prison around 1:30 p.m. Monday, DOC spokesman Terri Watkins told the McAlester News-Capital.

England was serving two life sentences for assault and battery with intent to kill and endeavoring to manufacture a controlled dangers substance after former conviction of a felony.

The DOC’s Office of Inspector General is investigating England’s death.
