Study: Blue eyes linked to higher risk of alcohol dependence
A new study shows that blue eyes could be a sign of alcohol dependence.
Researchers at the University of Vermont found that light-eyed individuals have been found to consume more alcohol than dark-eyed individuals.
The study defined light eyes as blue, green, or gray.
According to the Huffington Post, researchers found that within a sample of 1,263 European-Americans, alcohol dependence was more prevalent among those with light eyes than those with dark brown eyes.
In fact, the study showed that people with blue eyes had the highest rates of alcohol dependence.
