TROUTVILLE, Va. – Camden is like many other 9-year-old boys.

He loves to play, loves dogs and enjoys water balloon fights.

However, Traci Eubank knew it would be a struggle to get people to attend his 10th birthday party on July 6.

Eubank says Camden is home schooled because the local school district was planning to place him in ‘special ed’ classes.

Camden was diagnosed with apraxia of speech, meaning that his brain isn’t able to properly send the signals to his tongue that are required to make phonetic sounds.

Because of the disorder, Camden has a tendency to leave the endings off of words or pronounce them without a syllable.

“He is the most loving child I’ve ever seen” Eubank told Today. “He loves to sing, play basketball and he’s always coming up with business schemes to make money when he grows up.”

Despite his positive qualities, Camden has a hard time making friends.

As Eubank was preparing for the party, she realized the six guests that she anticipated would not be enough to help Camden have a massive water balloon fight.

She decided to create a Facebook event, called Camden’s 10th Birthday Party.

The post went viral with strangers from all over the world sending their warm wishes and support to Camden.

“People are coming out to throw water balloons with a kid they don’t even know,” she said. “They’re bringing gifts, food, drinks and cakes. He has had birthday wishes from all over the entire world. This response has been unbelievable.”
