Body found in street causes highway ramp to shut down

OKLAHOMA CITY – The service road and ramp onto I-40 from Meridian Ave. has been reopened after being shut down early Saturday morning.

Police closed part of the highway after a body was found on a nearby street.

According to police, a call came in just after 4 a.m. about a body found in the 700 block of S Meridian Ave.

Police believe at this time that the fatality was a hit and run.

They do not have a vehicle description.
