OKLAHOMA CITY – Police are searching an area on the cities northwest side this morning after a police chase stemming from stolen rims.

Police received a call Sunday around 8 a.m. about multiple suspects stealing rims from the Bob Howard dealership located on Memorial Rd. near the Broadway Extension.

A witness tailed the suspect’s vehicle until police arrived. That is when the suspects took off, leading police on a chase, according to police.

One suspect, described as a black male wearing a red shirt and camouflage pants, bailed out of the vehicle near Memorial Rd. and Portland Ave.

According to scanner traffic, police and Air 1 are now working on locating that suspect.

The second suspect continued until the Kilpatrick Turnpike and Rockwell Ave., where police took that suspect into custody without incident.
