LUTHER, Okla. – Authorities have identified human remains that were discovered earlier this year.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was called to investigate after human remains were found on April 5 along Hwy 66.

Authorities say the body, which was found between Luther and Wellston, had trauma consistent with homicide.

The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office identified the remains as Pierre Cleveland.

Cleveland was listed as a missing person in Oklahoma City on July 11, 2014.

Police say Cleveland’s sister called police on July 11, 2014, saying she was worried about her brother because she had not heard from him.

She told police Cleveland sent her a text message telling her he had been shot at.

The last text she received from Cleveland was a message that said, “I love you sis.”

Police records show a report was filed for the shooting.

Cleveland and another alleged victim told police someone fired multiple shots at them as they pulled up to Cleveland’s home.

However, neither Cleveland nor the other alleged victim were injured by the bullets.

Cleveland told police the only “beef” he had with anyone involved a “deal” in Del City.

He told police that he was jumped and pistol whipped about five to six days before the shooting.

Investigators believe Cleveland was killed in Oklahoma City, but no arrests have been made.
