SHAWNEE, Okla. - A man in Shawnee said his truck was burglarized early Monday morning, and the alleged thief made off several items, including a gun.

Joshua Freed says the alleged crime was caught on a surveillance camera and now he's offering a reward for his belongings.

"It's a bad feeling, watching it on film," said Joshua Freed. "Seeing them, watching them digging through your truck and going through all of your stuff while you and your kids are in the house."

The alleged crime occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Monday at Freed's home in Shawnee.

"I just saw the light come on in the truck," said Freed.

Freed says surveillance video shows one of the alleged suspects sitting in the truck with a flashlight.

Freed says the alleged thief made off with a gym bag, prescription medication and a loaded gun.

"You never want a weapon to get in somebody's hands like that," said Freed.

Freed posted the video on Facebook, where it was viewed more than 4,000 times in 24 hours.

Now, he is hoping one of those viewers can help identify the alleged suspects.

He is also offering a $500 reward for any information leading to the safe return of his Ruger handgun.

"It's not so much getting the stuff back, but getting that weapon back out of the hands of whoever and, of course, trying to get those people off the street," said Freed.

The victims are working with Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Department to track down possible leads.
