FORT WORTH, Texas – Meet Bonsai, an English bulldog who will melt your heart.

He was born in April with multiple rare deformities according to Fox13 in Salt Lake City; half a spine, no pelvis and tiny hind legs.

His owners gave him to Friends of Emma, a Texas rescue organization and now he is taking the internet by storm.

According to his YouCaring.com page, he has been diagnosed with a human condition called Caudal Regression and Sacrocaudal Dysgenesis, a first in the canine world.

He also has Swimmer’s Syndrome which means his chest is too flat and his legs are sprawled out to the sides.

Bonsai had his back legs amputated at the end of June because they were deemed useless; his doctors said he is recovering well.

According to his website, Bonsai won’t be able to be fitted with prosthetic legs because he doesn’t have the nerve function to operate them.
