DAVIS, Okla. — Northbound and southbound I-35 traffic will be slowed and stopped temporarily by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Thursday.

The area near Turner Falls in Murray County will be blocked off between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

Traffic is only expected to be stopped for about 20 minutes, and lanes will reopen once the area is safe for drivers.

Northbound and southbound I-35 remains narrowed to one lane in each direction and speed limits are reduced to 50 mph through late August. So drivers can expect congestion delays, especially during weekends.
