OKLAHOMA CITY – Two teenagers were taken into custody after allegedly assaulting a police officer at Northpark Mall.

According to the arrest affidavit, officers were called to the mall after someone reported a disturbance on the property.

When police arrived on scene, they recognized a teenager, who had a felony warrant.

A struggle broke out when officers tried to take that juvenile into custody and an officer was punched in the face, according to police.

K9 units and Air One were called to assist in the search for the suspect, but police were unable to locate him right away.

He was found a short time later at a friend’s house.

He was arrested for assault and battery on a city official and obstructing an officer. He was also wanted for second-degree burglary.
