Police looking for suspect who allegedly shot man in hotel parking lot

OKLAHOMA CITY – Police are investigating a shooting near a Day’s Inn on the city’s northwest side early Wednesday morning.

Around 2 a.m. police received several calls about gunshots in the area of NW 39th St. and May Ave.

When police arrived on scene they found a male victim in a car in the Day’s Inn parking lot.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The victim reportedly told police that he was pulling into the Day’s Inn parking lot when a man approached his car and said, “what’s up.”

The suspect then allegedly fired his weapon into the victim’s vehicle multiple times.

The victim told police he was able to get out of the car and run away.

Police say they are looking for a male suspect possibly driving a 2000 model, four-door blue Impala.
