SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Four months after a listeria outbreak forced the closure of all Blue Bell Creameries, the company says its ice cream is headed back to stores.

Blue Bell posted a video online of its first shipment leaving its plant in Alabama.

On Twitter and Facebook, the company wrote, “Our trucks are on the road again… And yes, they are filled with Blue Bell Ice Cream!”

Blue Bell says it will let customers know soon when and where they can buy its products once again.

Three other creameries in Texas and Oklahoma have still not re-opened.

The company halted all operations in April, after potentially deadly listeria bacteria was found in some of its products.
