OKLAHOMA CITY — Cabela’s announced earlier this summer that they would be opening a store in Oklahoma City. Wednesday, they announced the date of the grand opening.

The Oklahoma City Cabela’s will be opening on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015.

There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45 a.m., and the doors will open at 10.

The ceremony will be followed by a weekend-long celebration featuring giveaways, family activities, guest appearances, and more.

The store is located at 1200 W Memorial Road in the Chisholm Creek development near John Kilpatrick Turnpike at N Western Avenue. It will be Cabela’s first location in Oklahoma.

The building is designed to offer customers an immersive outdoor experience with log construction, stonework, a mountain replica, dozens of wildlife displays and museum-quality taxidermy mounts, vintage outdoor photos and memorabilia, hand-painted murals, an aquarium and an indoor archery range according to a press release from Cabela’s.
