OKLAHOMA CITY - While we're getting a slight break from the heat, there are still Oklahomans who are struggling to stay cool.
Beverly Griffey doesn't take herself too seriously.
“I'm enjoying life to its fullest," the 74-year-old said.
Even though she's enjoying life, things don't always come easy.
Beverly's husband died from heart failure, and her heart and kidneys are in bad shape.
While she has a working air conditioner, she can't afford to run it.
Instead, we gave her a fan to keep her home a little cooler without the soaring electric bills.
“I consider it a real blessing,” she said.
She says people are not only giving her cool air, they're inspiring her to keep going.
“They've made the world a kinder place for some of us who are just getting by,” she said.
Your fan donations are going to good homes.
