MIDWEST CITY, Okla. -- Four people have been charged with first degree murder after a Midwest City man was killed, reportedly shot trying to save his son.

But the man who allegedly pulled the trigger is still on the run.

Larry Mathis, Chakara Redd, Mosi Abasi Dennis, and Sharmaine Stelly were all charged on Thursday. They're also facing charges of robbery with a firearm.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the four had planned to steal pills and money from the victim's paraplegic son in late July.

In fact, court records explain Stelly arranged for a babysitter to watch her children because she needed to go "do a lick."

All the suspects have been arrested, except for Mosi Dennis, who was reportedly armed the night of the incident.

In the affidavit, Stelly tells police that Dennis brought along a pistol, and told the group 'I got this.'

He later allegedly threatened Stelly, telling her he would 'kill her children if she gave police his name.' The two are reportedly related.

Dennis is described as a black male, standing 6’1″ and weighing 150 pounds.
