Cooking with Kyle: The perfect hummus for snack time

A quick, easy snack/dip perfect for after school, or after 5 p.m. appetizer. Loaded with protein and carbs, it is perfect for growing, hungry kids. Couple it with raw vegetables and pita chips, and snack time becomes healthy!

  • 2 cups Canned Chickpeas, drained
  • 1/2 cup Tahini
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, Peeled
  • Juice of 2 Lemons
  • 1 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin
  • Salt/Pepper to taste
  • Chopped Parsley (Garnish)

In food processor (fitted with blade) mince the 2 cloves garlic. Add remaining ingredients and purée until smooth. Top with chopped Parsley, a touch of Paprika and drizzle just a bit of Olive Oil.
