Resident who shot, killed burglar charged with voluntary manslaughter

AKRON, Ohio - An Ohio man is facing charges after allegedly shooting and killing an intruder who broke into his home.

According to WJW, 25-year-old Marcus Glover and 37-year-old Terry Tart allegedly forced their way into a home on Hilbish Ave. on Aug. 7.

Once inside, they threatened the resident, 21-year-old David Hillis, at gunpoint.

However, authorities say Hillis was armed and fired shots at the pair, who tried to run.

Glover was killed, but Tart managed to escape.

Hillis was arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter in the case.
