Norman police investigating deadly wreck

NORMAN, Okla. – Authorities are investigating a deadly wreck in Norman.

Police say the accident occurred Sunday night around 7:28 near 180th Street and Blackberry Road.

Norman Police say a pickup truck was traveling northbound on 180th Street Avenue Southeast when the driver departed the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver was airlifted to a metro hospital.

The passenger of that vehicle was declared dead on the scene.

The driver and passenger’s identities have not been released at this time.
