CUSHING, Okla. - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved-shooting in Cushing.

Cushing police were called to the home in the 500 block of S. Little just after 3 a.m. Sunday morning.

The caller stated there was an “unwanted” person at the home.

When officers arrived, they found 20-year-old Shawn Allen Hall.

At some point, they say Hall pulled out a handgun and pointed it at two other people.

Police commanded the suspect several times to drop the weapon, but he refused and they say he continued to threaten the individuals nearby.

A Cushing police officer fired one shot at Hall, killing him.

The landlord of the property says the suspect was an ex-boyfriend of a girl who lives at the house.

“I guess he come over and was banging on the door and stuff at 3:00 this morning,” said Louie Watkins.  “I liked the guy.  He was an easygoing type fellow.  He worked for Mill Construction out here, hardworking guy.  And I just don’t know what happened.”

The OSBI has been called in to investigate the officer-involved-shooting.
