OKLAHOMA CITY – A train and a car collided around 11 a.m. this morning, according to reports.

Officials said the collision took place near Britton and Western.

Traffic was backed up, and some parts of the road were blocked off.

Witnesses said the car was on its side after the collision.

The victims were taken to the hospital, according to officials.

The victims were a father, who is stable and has been released with minor injuries, and his son, who is in good condition and is being kept only for observation, said Chasity Dutton-Wallace, ex-wife and mother of the victims.

Dutton-Wallace said a local gym owner, Justin McCorkle, stopped to help at the scene.

“He is amazing,” Dutton-Wallace said. “He came to visit my son afterwards and brought him an incredible hulk,  because ‘Any 9-year-old that gets hit by a train and lives had to be like the incredible hulk.'”

“Miracles happen,” Dutton-Wallace said. “And, God is good.”
