CALCASIEU PARISH, La. - Erik Rue says he first spotted "Pinky" in 2007 while fishing on his boat.

Nearly eight years later, Rue says the mysterious pink dolphin has surfaced again.

Rue, a captain of Calcasieu Charter Service, says the dolphin is usually seen in a pod.

"We still see her swimming almost every day in the summertime. We've seen her a lot in the last few weeks. She looks happy and healthy," he told WGNO.

Rue says her whole body is "100 percent pink."

Experts believe she has a genetic condition that caused the change in color.
