Reports: Homicide in N.W. Oklahoma City, police search for suspects

OKLAHOMA CITY – Police said a shooting in Oklahoma City has now turned into a homicide.

The incident reportedly took place during a carjacking Wednesday evening.

A victim, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, was found in the street near N.W. 2nd and Penn and taken to a local hospital, officials said.

The victim, a Hispanic male, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police later identified the victim as 43-year-old Ruben Gonzalez.

Officials are reportedly searching for two suspects who allegedly escaped from the scene.

The victim’s grey or silver Toyota 4Runner was found near railroad tracks near N.W. 4th and Douglas Ave., according to the reports.

Officials said the suspects may have ditched it and jumped into another getaway vehicle.

The suspects have not been identified at this time.
