Stillwater police investigating shooting at nearby lake

STILLWATER, Okla. – Authorities in Stillwater are searching for clues related to a shooting at a nearby lake.

On Wednesday morning, a 21-year-old woman was out with a friend on the bike path near Boomer Lake when they heard a ‘sharp noise.’

At that point, the victim felt something hit her back.

The victim’s friend found that she was bleeding and rushed her to an emergency room, where she was treated and released.

According to officials, the woman had been shot with a small caliber bullet.

Now, investigators are searching for the persons responsible for the shooting.

Officials are searching for a 1990s model baby blue Chevrolet or GMC extended cab pickup truck with chrome trim.
