GUYMON, Okla. – School officials in Guymon say a pair of schools have been placed on lock down as a precaution.

The Guymon Daily Herald reports that Guymon Central Jr. High and Guymon High School locked their doors and had police officers monitoring the front doors on Wednesday.

Officials told the newspaper that they were taking extra security precautions as a result of an incident that may have involved students from the schools on Tuesday.

However, they would not elaborate on the incident, saying parents should not be concerned.

There is not an emergency situation going on at either school.
