OKLAHOMA CITY – A well-known runner in Oklahoma City is making waves around the world.

Camille Herron has won the Oklahoma City National Memorial Marathon three times.

Recently, she took first place in the ladies 100K World Championship in the Netherlands.

Herron ran the 62 mile course in 7 hours, 8 minutes and 35 seconds.

However, she said that she struggled after running about 40 miles.

She actually became sick after trying to take running gels, so she was forced to stick to sports drinks and liquids to stay hydrated the rest of the race.

When she’s not on the track, she is the assistant cross-country track and field coach at OCU.
