STILLWATER, Okla. – It seems like a local college town is one of the best places to live in the country, according to a new study.

Livability looked into what factors most influence the livability of small to mid-sized cities across America and created its ‘Top 100 Best Places to Live.’

Researchers looked over 2,100 cities with populations between 20,000 and 350,000 people were analyzed. Those cities were compared based on their economics, housing, amenities, infrastructure, demographics, social and civic capital, education and health care.

Rochester, Minnesota topped out this year’s list.

Stillwater was the only city in Oklahoma to make the list.

Organizers say they chose Stillwater because several industries help stabilize the economy. In their time away from work, residents can enjoy time on the local lakes and can catch local artists playing live music in several venues throughout town.

Stillwater rounded out the list at number 96.
