Victim froze to death following alleged attack, man charged with manslaughter

OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City man died after freezing to death following a brutal assault, according to police.

On March 1, officers were called to the 6800 block of Lyrewood Lane.

When police arrived, they found the body of 27-year-old Brandon Mauriel Rogers Jr.

Investigators determined that 29-year-old Marcus Moore went to Rogers’ home, where they got into a fight.

Officers say the fight moved outside where Moore allegedly beat Rogers and left him on the ground.

Eventually, authorities say Rogers froze to death.

Now, Moore is facing a charge of second-degree manslaughter after a former felony conviction.

Moore is currently in a Lawton prison on unrelated charges.
