OHP: High speed chase ends in crash, suspect in critical condition

OKLAHOMA CITY — A chase reaching speeds of 100 miles per hour ended in a crash Monday night.

OHP officials say the chase started with a traffic stop around 8:20 p.m.

A trooper tried to pull over a motorcyclist traveling west on l-40 near the Amarillo junction.

The suspect was on a motorcycle and lead OHP on a chase, reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour on l-40.

Officials say the suspect exited Rockwell and wound through several neighborhoods before getting back on Reno westbound.

The motorcyclist ended up hitting a car at Reno and Meridian.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

No word yet on the condition of the driver of the car that was hit.
