A well-known Republican is expected to announce that he is dropping out of the race to become president.

According to the New York Times, Gov. Scott Walker will no longer seek the Republican nomination.

Walker started the year at the top of the polls, but slowly started to drop once Donald Trump became a true competitor.

In a recent survey by CNN, only one-half of one percent of Republicans were planning to vote for Walker.

Walker is expected to hold a press conference at 5 p.m. in Madison to announce his withdrawal from the race.
