Thunder’s Steven Adams Helps Encourage OKC Youth To Read

Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams helped kids from West Nichols Hills Elementary pick out books from the Thunder Book Bus on Thursday, September 24.

Adams handed out wrist bands and book marks and high-fived each kid as they entered and left he book bus.

According to the Thunder, the bus has made more than 1,400 visits to schools, museums and community organizations around the Oklahoma City metro.

Since its debut in 2009,  the program has provided more than 100,000 free books to students.
