MIDLAND, Tx. – With the help from a referee’s noggin, a Texas high school football team’s kicker made his team an extra point.
Last Friday, Midland Lee football player Luis Aranda was lined up for an extra point in the second quarter.
A video posted to YouTube shows the ball appear to nail the referee in the head before going over the crossbar and make it between the posts.
Referees on the field declared the kick good.
Video of the kick has since gone viral.
The video has received more than 1.1 million views.
According to WTVY, Midland Lee won the game 35-16.
