MOORE, Okla. - Moore police were busy interviewing about thirty different witnesses Sunday evening after two different shootings left one man dead and a woman injured.

Police were called to the 600 block of S.W. 1st street around 7:30 Sunday night on a shooting.

“A witness called police saying that someone had just shot their wife in the middle of the street and that he was trying to get into the house across the street.  And dispatch could hear gunshots over the phone,” said Sgt. Jeremy Lewis with the Moore Police Department.

Police say that a husband, later identified as 36-year-old Jason Morgan, shot his wife, 34-year-old Tiffany Morgan, in the middle of the road and then went to the home across the street.

Police say Morgan kicked in the door and was shot and killed by Justin Bozeman.

“The homeowner of that home heard the initial shots, retrieved a weapon and as the neighbor from across the street entered his home, he did shoot him and he is deceased at this time,” said Sgt. Lewis.

Virginia Bozeman raced to the scene to check on her grandson, who she says is the homeowner who shot the man.

“There was a guy that I found out later kicked open his door and came in with a gun and I guess my grandson shot him,” said Bozeman.  “He’s never shot anybody or anything, no.  I can’t imagine how he’s feeling right now.”

Police say this all played out in the middle of the busy neighborhood at S.W. 1st and Telephone Road.

“I know that there’s numerous witnesses that were outside.  This is at 7:30.  It was still daylight so we have a lot of witnesses that observed this,” said Sgt. Lewis.

Tiffany Morgan was rushed to the hospital.

Police did not have her condition but said that it was very serious and that she was shot point blank in the head.
