OKLAHOMA CITY — Tinker Air Force Base will likely receive more than 14 acres of land from Oklahoma City.

The city council voted Tuesday to move forward with the sale, which still has to be closed.

Tinker plans to use the land for a stormwater retention pond. The 14.47 acres will also provide more space to park airplanes.

The base would pay $250,000 for the property.
