One dead after shooting in N.W. Oklahoma City, alleged gunman on the loose

Homicide near N.W. 23rd and Ann Arbor

OKLAHOMA CITY – One man is dead after a shooting in northwest Oklahoma City.

Police are still searching for the gunman who allegedly shot and killed a man near N.W. 23rd and Ann Arbor.

Police say they got a call around 10 p.m. Monday saying someone had been shot.

When emergency crews arrived on scene, they found a man on the ground.

The victim, 33-year-old Eric Shanks, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the suspect is on the loose.
