WICHITA, Kan. – One man is behind bars after allegedly torturing a teenage boy, who has autism.

According to KSN, the 15-year-old boy was walking when 58-year-old Robert McDowell pointed what felt like a gun to his back.

Police say McDowell then took the teen to a home and tied him up with his own shoelaces.

At that point, authorities say McDowell took jumper cables and shocked the boy on the ears.

“That’s just, that’s just wrong; a 15-year-old autistic boy,” said the teen’s sister.

Eventually, McDowell let the boy go, who then went home and called 911.

Officers told KSN that McDowell believed that he was robbed by the 15-year-old boy’s friends.

“We want justice to be served and also justice from the man upstairs when the time comes,” the victim’s sister said.

McDowell was arrested on multiple felony charges including aggravated battery with a firearm, abduction and kidnapping.
