OKLAHOMA CITY – Emergency crews were called to a home in northwest Oklahoma City after a fire broke out on Friday afternoon.
Shortly after 12 p.m. on Friday, first responders were called to a home near N.W. 16th and Virginia, which is located near Pennsylvania Ave.
When fire crews arrived at the scene, flames were shooting from the roof and black smoke was pouring from the home.
Initially, crews were concerned that someone may be trapped inside the house.
However, no one was found during the initial search of the home.
At one point, firefighters had to briefly pull out of the home because of the heavy smoke and flames.
A power line is down behind the home, so OG&E had to be called to the scene.
