Energy Advance to Western Conference Finals

The Oklahoma City Energy soccer team advanced to the USL Western Conference finals with a 4-3 win on penalty kicks over Colorado Springs at Taft Stadium on Sunday night, October 4.

The Energy will play the Los Angeles Galaxy II in the Western Finals on Sunday, October 11 at Taft Stadium at 6:00.

Chuy Sanchez and Peabo Doue both scored goals in regulation and in overtime for the Energy.

In the penalty kick shootout, all four Energy shoots scored and OKC goalkeeper Evan Newton stopped two of five Switchback shooters to clinch the win.
