Officials: Inmate from Oklahoma County Detention Center dies
OKLAHOMA CITY — An inmate at the Oklahoma County Detention Center died Monday.
Antoinne Ellis, 34, complained of shortness of breath while he was in the day room, authorities say. That’s when officers contacted medical staff, who reportedly started to give Ellis oxygen.
EMSA transported Ellis to a local hospital, where officials say he later died.
The exact cause of death will be determined by the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office.
OSBI will investigate.
