OWASSO, Okla. – An Oklahoma man who claims to be a surgeon is accused of harassing and threatening detention officers after he was arrested for a DUI, the Tulsa World reports.

Samuel Bride, 42, was pulled over around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday for not stopping at a stop sign.

Bride told the police officer that he was a surgeon at the Claremore Indian Hospital and had been working all night, the arrest report stated.

The officer noticed Bride had slurred speech and asked him whether he had been drinking or using drugs.

Bride told the officer “no” and was then asked to take a field sobriety test.

After allegedly failing several sobriety tests, Bride was arrested.

According to the Tulsa World, a police officer found several bottles of prescription drugs and a nearly empty bottle of Fireball whiskey in Bride’s car.

Right before he was booked into the Tulsa County Jail, Bride allegedly started berating the detention officers.

A police report states that at one point, Bride looked at a detention officer and “in a threatening voice and demeanor stated ‘Wait till I get you under my knife.'”

Bride was then booked on an additional complaint of threatening a violent act.
