HOUSTON — Former President George H.W. Bush had his wife, Barbara, by his side as he threw the first pitch at a Minute Maid Park Sunday night.
Bush threw the first pitch at the American League Division Series game 3 between the Houston Astros and the Kansas City Royals.
George and Barbara didn’t hide the fact that they’re die-hard Astros fans; they both sported Houston jerseys while the former president wore orange socks to match, and the former first lady wore her trademark pearls.
The 91-year-old is still wearing a neck brace after taking a spill in his home that broke a vertebrae in his neck in July.
After the pitch, the presidential couple took their regular seats behind home plate.
The Astros beat the Royals 4-2.
