Noble Public Schools cancel classes due to threat against high school

NOBLE, Okla. — Noble Public Schools have canceled classes for Wednesday, Oct. 14 after Noble High School received a threat on Tuesday.

Officials did not specify what type of threat was made.

The threat that was made on Tuesday is actually for tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 14.

The school district decided to cancel classes for Wednesday, as well as evening activities on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Fall Break starts was scheduled to start Oct. 15, but due to the threat, will start after classes today.

Noble PS Superintendent Frank Solomon released a statement.

“Noble Public Schools has received a threat at Noble High School for tomorrow, October 14, 2015. Accordingly, all Noble Public schools classes are cancelled for tomorrow, October 14, 2015. All evening activities scheduled for Tuesday evening, October 13 and Wednesday evening October 14 are also cancelled. Fall Break is October 15th and 16th. Classes will resume Monday October 19th.

During this break, district administration will be working with local and state law enforcement officials to investigate this incident and insure the safety and security of all of our students, staff and facilities. “

This threat comes after several threats last week, all in which resulted in the canceling of classes.
