Skiatook girl injured in OSU homecoming parade incident and another victim identified

STILLWATER, Okla.- Her mother’s Facebook post says her daughter was spending time in Stillwater to experience homecoming but instead became a victim to a horrific crash.

Her mother, Tasha Atwell, writes:

She was supposed to get to go to her first OSU football game today. Instead she took her first helicopter ride as she was life flighted from the homecoming parade in Stillwater to OKC.

KFOR has learned the girl has internal bleeding, five broken ribs, and a bruised lung. She also has a large gash on her head. Doctors are running more tests.

The girl’s uncle says his twin sister and his mother were also injured in this incident. No word on their conditions or the extent of their injuries.

The family asks for prayers.

KFOR has learned that Kelly Howell Murphy was also one of those injured. She has two broken legs. Murphy is not related to the Atwells.
