Oklahoma State's football team found out about the homecoming parade tragedy shortly before taking the field against Kansas.
After some discussion about whether to play the game or not, the decision was made the game would go on.
Once that was decided, OSU head coach Mike Gundy told his players they couldn't do anything to change the tragedy, but they could focus on the game and doing the best they could to beat Kansas.
The Cowboys responded with a 58-10 win to improve to 7-0 on the season.
