DALLAS, Texas – A Texas mother is behind bars after allegedly trying to force her children to ingest poison.

Authorities with the Dallas Police Department told KXAS that 31-year-old Paw Eh forced her 4-year-old son to ingest poison.

Officers say she also forced her 7-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter to ingest poison, but the children refused to take it.

The Dallas Morning News reported that Eh’s two older children told police that their mother had threatened to kill all of them and herself. They told authorities that Eh put ant poison and water on a spoon and forced her son to drink it.

When the boy refused to drink it, Eh allegedly slapped him on the cheek and forced the spoon into his mouth.

The 4-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital where he is in stable condition.

Eh was charged with attempted capital murder.
