CHICAGO — An anonymous couple did something uncommon on a Chicago subway that is gaining attention on the internet.

According to Jack Stankovic, a disabled homeless man was sleeping in a wheelchair on a subway car.

A man, who was accompanied by a female, reached over the homeless man.

Jack was shocked by what he saw.

“No one else noticed but me,” he wrote in a Facebook post.

The man had reached over and slipped the sleepy man some cash.

“This wasn’t spare change, and the homeless man wasn’t bother or asking for anything from anyone,” Stankovic wrote in his post. “Thank you sir for reestablishing my faith in humanity. You sir are a true gentleman.”

Stankovic posted the picture to give praise to the couple.

The picture was posted Nov. 1 and has been shared more than 26,700 times.
