DENVER, Colo. – When it comes to life, many people can get caught up in the daily grind.

However, a new movement is shedding light on the beautiful things around us.

Leon Logothetis, the author of the Kindness Diaries, is on a mission to spread little acts of kindness to those in need.

On his journey, Logothetis recently met a single father named James in Denver, Colorado.

James recently moved to Denver from New York to create a better life for his young son.

“I want him to experience things that I missed growing up,” James said. “I just want to be there.”

James says he did all he could to prepare for the move, but circumstances outside his control wrecked his plans.

“I just got here a couple days ago. I had a job set up and some housing arrangements set up. The housing arrangements fell through; right now, I’m homeless,” James said.

However, he is not letting his situation get him down.

“You have to be brought down to your humblest point so you can appreciate other things that are waiting for you,” James said. “Don’t let it consume you.”

He says that his son and a fusion between prayer and meditation are what keeps him going.

“I never expected it to be like this, but it’s like this,” James said.

At that point, Logothetis revealed that he would be giving James $1,000 as an act of kindness. He also offered to put him up in a hotel for a week to help him get on his feet.
