Owner of several Church’s Chicken restaurants in Oklahoma is missing after stores close

Not long after the restaurants were closed, the owner, 55-year-old Lyndon Johnson, was reported missing.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The owner of over a dozen Church’s Chicken restaurants in Oklahoma is missing after the Tax Commission closed 15 of his restaurants.

The Oklahoma Tax Commission says they were forced to close 15 Church’s Chicken restaurants in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa areas after the franchise owner didn’t pay his sales tax.

The owner reportedly owes about $381,303.50 in unpaid sales tax. After adding interest and penalties, the owner will have to hand over $434,583.78 in before the stores can resume business, FOX 23 reports.

Not long after the restaurants were closed, the owner, 55-year-old Lyndon Johnson, was reported missing.

Authorities think he may be either in Tulsa or Oklahoma City.
