The holiday season is just around the corner, so you'll want to start preparing for those family meals now.
This recipe for cranberry sauce takes only minutes and will have your guests begging for more.
- 1 cup sugar (or use 1.5 cups if you prefer a really sweet sauce)
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 to 2 tbsp of orange zest
- 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground clove
- 12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries.
In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, orange juice, spices and orange zest. Stir to combine and bring to a boil. Add cranberries, return to boil.
Reduce head to slow boil or a heavy simmer and cook 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
